The Magnum 1 was also known as the Panache due to its Panache fairing. The road going version was unveiled in January 1978 at the Royal Horticultural Halls bike show in London..

and Reynolds 531 tube and every joint is manganese bronze welded.
This adjustable mono shock suspension keeps the wheel and
power in contact with the road everywhere from the
Nurburgring to the Isle of Man.
The tank and seat are designed to mould the rider into the
machine. The tank is constructed from an aluminium and
glass reinforced plastic laminate and filled with “Explasafe”
The exhaust system is scientifically designed and competition proved to
extract the very best from the engine and to allow unrestricted cornering.
This fairing is the result of many 24 hour races and the need
to protect the rider from wind and rain at sustained high speeds
When you arrive at the kink in the Masta straight at Spa at
150mph in the pitch dark it’s nice to see where you are going,
that is why the machine is fitted with twin Cibie super ’7”
beam with dip, main and side light facilities.
